I joined FNB approximitely 7 months ago. I was told they will transfer all my debit orders and and change my salary from my bank to FNB. Approximitely 7 months later nothing had been changed. I then went into FNB Northmead Square and requested for all my accounts to be closed. I paid off my Credit card with cash in the bank. I was NOT told I will be charged for it. I then get an SMS saying I owe about R270.00 on my Credit Card. I called the branch, they told me not to worry about it as it is an automated system and I will be refunded about R100.00 as I paid to much. I now get told that I still owe money on my card. The consultant of FNB now to the Manager and said that she told us about it. Nothing was said to me about being charged for paying money into my credit card, by doing a cash deposit. I think this is a joke and something should be done about it. I WILL NOT PAY THAT MONEY IN AS I WAS TOLD MY ACCOUNT WAS UP TO DATE. I hope someone higher then a Branch Manager will call me so I can explain the frustration that I am feeling!!!
