Biggest embarrassment of my life - Thanks to FNB!!

On the 30th of October l visited the Rivonia branch and spoke with Portia Mokgope who works in the Forex department for the purpose of ordering $1, 500 for my intended travel on 1-11-13. I was advised to bring my passport/visa and ticket when collecting the money. My clear instruction was that Portia debits my $ account which she agreed to. I came back and presented the required information and collected the $1, 500 in cash and was on my way to USA that evening. On the 6-11-13 Portia debited my ZAR with R15 647.70. It is at this point that l noticed that my $ account was never debited when l got the $1, 500. I had reserved some money in ZAR for hotel bookings and other expenses during my travel and suddenly l found myself with a negative balance in excess of R7, 000!!! When l queried what was going on with Portia, nothing of use came out of those email exchanges as she kept saying that she was told not to debit my USD$ account. Why wasn't l told this before l left and could have sort alternative arrangements? I struggled a lot with my bookings whilst abroad and l was very embarrassed as l was reduced to asking other people to help me as if l don't have own money! FNB me up!!!
