I had an accident where my car was bumped from the side due to the driver of another car not stopping behind the STOP road markings but moving forward into the intersection as I moved past the other drivers car and turned right. I took photos of accident from 360 degrees around the scene, which in a court of law will prove the other party to be guilty. SBIB when I lodged the claim did not acknowledge receipt, no SMS of reference number, the client has to do all the leg work drive here there and everywhere to get an assessment done. When one begins to complain and my banker phones them SBIB staff phone me. I ask if they have looked at the accident report which contains photos of the accident scene. The answered is I did not get that sent to me. So no due diligence done by SBIB to determine whether I am not at fault. The one department does not communicate with another. I have spoken to 3 different people and sent copies of the accident report to 2 of them. I have now also handed the accident report to the Police should civil action be required. Insurance companies do not seem interested in whether one is at fault or NOT, they simply want the premium, the excess.
