I bought a R851 flight ticket from 1Time airline in October 2012, but never got to use it as the company was liquidated. An Absa representative shortly there after proclaimed on TV that ALL Absa customers will get their unused tickets refunded.
Beginning February 2013 I went to Absa in Voortrekker street, Capital Park, Pretoria, to fill out a claim - the lady behind the counter, named Betty Kola, was rude and sarcastic.
In July I tried again - I went in, explained the whole story again to a lady named Rook Shanart, who appeared very sympathetic.
On looking up my claim in the system, it seemed that someone had canceled my claim - very strange indeed. She re-filed it and assured me that it will be sorted out this time.
A month or so back, after not having heard anything from Absa, I contacted her AGAIN. It is now FOUR MONTHS LATER - I have heard NOTHING from Absa regarding my claim, and whether or not they're planning on doing something about this. i have not been phoned, emailed or written to about any of this.
