25/10 my card was swallowed at a local ATM approx 6:45.I immediately called the 0800 no on the machine to have my card canx after waiting in a call queue for 20-30 minutes I eventually got through to an agent who canx my acc. The call ended because I ran out of airtime. I rushed home called the same no to confirm no trans were made on my account after the canx had been processed. I was adv 2 trans were made totalling R6500.00. I called the Line, spoke to another lady who finally canx my acc (3rd call). The lady I spoke to logged a complaint, ref no:3457547, she adv I should receive feedback in 10 w/days. Immediately after I went to the Standard Bank Vangate Mall and spoke to Mark. He logged a formal, ref no:55630475.He advised me the ATM I tried to withdraw money from was a known hotspot and because they were aware of this they would give me back my money.31/10 I called Standard Bank and spoke to a consultant who said I had to wait another 5 w/days for feedback and provide Standard Bank with an itemised call list. I called 8ta who adv I cannot get an itemised call bill because I am a prepaid cust. 8/11 I called and adv Standard Bank of this. 9/11 i was advise my claim was declined.
