I went to Metropolitan Life in Germiston on the 29th Jan 2012. I currently have a 10 year investment with them. I wanted to reduce my monthly premium. The lady who helped me was Thandaza. The complaint is for the poor service I got. For starters, the lady did not know how to do the reduction of the premium because she said it is not something they do often. To my suprise, not one person was able to help her coz they did not knw, only one lady, I think they called her Phakama or so who helped for for a short while, and she seemed to knw what she was doing, but had to leave coz of some emergency. Out of desperation, coz I had been there for almost an hour, I asked her to give me forms, then she can figure out what to do on the system later on, she had no forms, again the reason is she doesnt do reduction of premiums often. I am still puzzled, if it werent for an old man, didnt get his name, I would have left without having done what I went there to do, he gave me the forms. At the other cubicle, the other employees were talking and laughing at the top of their voice, surely that cant be acceptable. Dont even know if she will process the request, but I refuse to go back to that office
