FNB wont remove bounced cheque from my account

I really love banking with FNB and don't want to change banks but they keep on surprising me. First my cellphone had to go in for repairs and they told me I have to pay R2000 excess which is madness I ended up cancelling my insurance. Than someone made a checque deposit into my account and the checque bounced and FNB actually deducted that amount from my account now my account is in minus. How the is it my fault if a cheque bounced and now it's my responsibility to pay that money. I was told at the Woodmead branch that they can't take the minus off my account and that I'm responsible to pay that amount. My account will stay in minus forever because I'm not paying that money. THIS IS REDICULIOUS!!!
