Absa continues to send my credit card statement to my former employer who can see the entire thing. Three emails and two follow-up emails in the past two months without result. Only once ABSA (what they call 'customer care') responded to say the relevant department would contact me. Meanwhile weeks later, nothing heard nothing seen, however the call centre does blunt harrassement that I did not pay my credit card statement... the fact telling 'no statement, no pay' leaves them cold and they don't change info in their system leaving the problem for the next consultant phoning the following days.
Barkleys got huge fine in Europe, SA should step up too and fine banks who have no flippen clue what the word 'service' means. Consumes in the banana republic of Sa are getting consumer on a daily basis. People should simply bank with smaller banks where costumers still mean something and leave the big vultures out.
