REQUESTED A RE-STRUCTURING OF LOAN RE-PAYMENTS

Due to financial reasons, and being over indebted, I approached FNB with regards to re-structuring my loan payment. The consultant gave me the number for the collections dept and told me to contact them and they will be able to assist me. I called them on Monday and was told that they are unable to do this. I am in debt and instead of going for debt conseling I thought I would approach FNB directly. Would they prefer me going under debt review or would they rather help me and re-structure a payment plan that works for both parties.
I have been banking with FNB for over fifteen years and their motto is HOW CAN WE HELP YOU. However this is not the case here and unfortunately I will have to seek debt counselling which was my last option
