Courtesy car not paid

According to my policy I am entitled to a courtesy car for a maximum of 30 days. However, Mutual & Federal only booked the car for a week. After that I got continuous sms's and calls from AVIS advising me that I already had to return the car, and then I had to phone around to ensure that an extension is booked. Even after my broker sent the e-mail and got confirmation that the extension was granted, I still got calls from AVIS, and I was left confused and frustrated because I did not know what to tell them.

In the end, they only extended the car hire for 4 days, which is 1 day less than what I needed. I sent e-mails and tried to call mutual and federal to get them to sort it out, but they did not answer the phone and did not respond to my e-mails. Now Avis has taken the extra day's money from my credit card!
