Cheaque problems

Yesterday I went to Standard Bank in Mankweng to deposit a cheaque and I specifically asked for a special clearance, I don't know whats the problem because it's been a day now and the money is still reflecting in the current balance and not the available, maybe it was my fault or the lady who helped me is which will cause me to wait 7 days. that's not cool, for a bank which claims to be moving forward, this is just low.
