I have applied for this service on the 2013.10.13. As per an email recieved, I was supposed to be debited when "I notified THEM as to when was convenient for ME". I was Debited R350 on the 2013.10.17. I called and asked why I was debited without a "convenient time being agreed with me". Was told that you have some debit order system that monitors the accounts "around my salary date" and that will debit my account around my salary date. My salary only get deposited on the 20th of every month. Does it not make sense to debit when my money is in my account? I cancelled this service on the 18th. Received and sms to confirm cancellation. He mentioned that I will not be charged as I did cancel within the "7day cool off period". I was told to call back by the 22nd, only then will the funds show on your records. I called today 29th was told about being charged R70 for cancellation fee.
My frustration is that I was debited without agreeing on a convenient time for me to be debited. What would have happened if I did not have funds in my account? I was not explained the refunding policy when I called to cancel. The policy was only read to me when I called 29th.
