Online Application delayed on paperwork

I applied online for an FNB smart credit card on 23 October 2013, sent through all of my docs. Called the next day to check and had to send recent payslip as I sent Augusts and Septembers. I got a call for docs pointed out they were there, call centre person said oh yes will take 5-7 days for approval. Got an email this morning looking for my docs again, lady on the phone again said yes it was there. But now they need 3 months bank statement as I bank with Capitec. It is nearly a week later and still FNB is looking for paperwork. At what point was someone going to contact me and explain what "proof of income" meant to FNB cause to me it is a payslip.
I have subsequently cancelled my card which I applied for to service my car as I do not have the sum up front. Now to apply elsewhere and hope that this application does not affect my next.
FNB may be the most innovative bank but their customer services is falling way behind their vision.
Never again will I look in FNB direction, worst service ever.
