Zurich say no to a simple and legitimate claim

So, a painter ruins a one year old bedroom carpet in an accident and you submit a R5000 claim thinking you'll be paid. No assessor visits; no investigation takes place, you don't even get a call.
Eventually I found out via the broker (this complaint is not about them) that this claim is rejected. I have three policies with Zurich; four vehicles and four building policies and have been with them for almost 30 years with an excellent claims record. So, if you expect two-way loyalty, get a dog, it's cheaper and more usefull.
