Changed my policy without my consent

This is a first for me, to complain about service received on Hello Peter, but what can I say I have been driven to it by continuous bad service from my insurer. This morning I called my insurance provider, as I know they require me to get chips filled before it causes a full windshield replacement. I was told that indeed that was the case and that I could call for the claim reference number when I was ready to have it filled. This was perfectly fine, when I inquired about my policy as they had upped the premium within 6 month's of negotiating the new premium. He proceeded to tell me that my home contents cover was no longer on the system. But I was still getting charged for it! I have always had my home contents covered on my policy 2 months ago I had a claim due to a power surge, after this incident, someone at the company accidentally deleted my home contents cover profile, after this an agent called me and reconfirmed the desired cover. I was also offered additional cover which I refused I specifically told the agent that I simply wanted the existing cover that they accidentally deleted of their system. But now I'm being told that I'm in the wrong. Still no call back.
