Hollard Insurance
BAD SERVICE & CLAIM REJETION

I took out household contents insurance from Hollard in december 2012. My PC got damaged by a power surge according to my repair technician.
My claim from this company was rejected because they do not cover damage by power surges. According to the it is caused by lightning and that is also not covered although none of these two were mentioned as exclusions in my policy.
When I called to follow up the person told me - after consulting with seniors - that it not officially noted in the policy wording, but they nevertheless reject claims of that nature. This was a recorded conversation.
I cancelled my policy with them and even on the cancellation letter to me they don't have the guts to state bad service as the reason. They stated 'premiums not competitive'.
Besides rejecting claims they apparently do not know what the words "We will get back to you" means. Roor service is an understatement.
Pls stay away from this insurer as they give a new meaning to the term.
