After laying my complaint on Hello Peter I got the following response from Mpho Khumalo:

"We hereby confirm that an urgent instruction was forwarded to the credit bureau Transunion ITC, Experian and XDS to amend your credit profile. The request was marked urgent and the details will be updated within 72 working hours. Kindly be advised that the profile was placed in error as a tape ran to the credit bureau."

I sincerely hope the problem has been fixed and that I wont be having any issues from STD Bank again. If the problem has been sorted as they promised I would like to thank Mpho for his speedy response.
