Two weeks and still no answe

I have banked with Standard Bank for over 20 years.

I applied for a home loan and have been waiting for two weeks now. When I call for progress updates the call centre cannot give any indication on what is happening. It is always just "captured" or "waiting for approval".

So far I have been very unimpressed at the level of service by the Home Loan department. [The sales team do not know what an interest only mortgage is! ]

I cannot believe it takes two weeks

I have applied at some other institutions now, and am tempted to cancel everything and move all my banking elsewhere.
