I have been banking with standard bank ever since I was a child. I recently started my own business and requested that they reduce my installments for the next 6 months. I was firstly not given the correct procedure, then I was required to explain the same story every time I called in to get an update. the conversations were not saved on the system, I had to send the motivation letter 4 times because they were not receiving it even though I have been getting automated responses. the consultants never wanted to take accountability and they refused to let me speak to a manager every time I requested it. I was promised a call back several times and never received one until I reported the matter to the complaints department. they took over a month to assist me with something they committed to assisting me within 15 days. the debit order which I have been trying to ensure does not go through on the 1st, went through on the 4th which is not even the date I am in agreement with. they refuse to even reverse my debit order even though it was their fault that they only sorted my query now. I am so disappointed in this bank and am definitely changing it.
