Budget Insurance
No Help!

We had an accident in October last year. It was 100% the other driver's fault. We lost huge value on our car as it was only a year old and it had only 12000km on the clock, as well as 1 month of paying the bank without being able to use the car as it was undrivable and a R6500.00 excess. All we want is our excess back. We now get told by our broker Schalk van Dyk at SAPCOR that the matter is now going into litigation at there were no other independent witnesses to give a statement. The other driver cannot remember what happened. Her insurance Budget phoned us to get the story from us as she reported saying she could not remember. Litigation can take up to 3 years and by the time - if we get our money back - it will be worth about R2000.00! We pay our insurance every month and this is VERY unfair being the people that are NOT at fault and end up taking the fall at huge cost to us. Why be insured when you don't get any valuable help from anyone and continue to get everything swept under the carpet. Please can someone help us get our excess back That is all we want. Budget please do something from your side. Thank you
