RATHER IMMOBILE STANDARDBANK WITH BAD ATTITUDE

Received a threat by attorney to pay outstanding money on an SB overdraft. Contacted the attorneys and explained that we never had a banking account with SB. Their response - Prove it! and "We have no details, talk to them". Took two weeks to get hold of someone at Standard Bank thats willing to assist. They promised to get back to me and never did. Further promises to get back and no response finally saw me contacting the SB Head of Legal with the same bad attitude. After a number of calls he confirmed that we do not owe SB anything and that it's due to a glitch in their system. "You know how instable systems can be" - a shocker as I was under the impredssion that banking systems should be without glitches! I asked him to give me this in writing which he promised but never did, . When I followed up again, he resigned an nobody knows anything about our discussions. I was still busy sorting this out when the next surprise threat arrived from a differen attorney. Same bad attitude from Standard Bank employees, this time even from a rude Customer Complaints operator. I received a reference number and instruction to wait for 7 days. Is this really Moving Forward???
