My husband and I joined the Liberty own your life rewards programme on the basis of the benefits they advertised, one of them being the gym benefit at planet fitness. Liberty, by their own admission in writing and telephonically, had failed to update their terms and conditions relating to the price of the access tag for planet fitness and as a result they elected to pay the difference to planet fitness. We brought this to their attention over 3 weeks ago and they have failed to resolve it and I have dealt with over 4 people who assured me that the matter would be dealt with. These people have only followed up when we asked our broker to follow up with liberty and even then, they get a new person to phone who makes commitments that they cannot keep to resolve the issue. The last person I spoke to was a gentleman called Mahlatsi who said that the issue would be resolved today. I asked for this assurance in writing and he said I would get it, it is now nearing close of business and I have not heard from them. The manner in which they have dealt with this issues makes me very concerned about how they will manage my policy and I am seriously considering cancelling this policy.
