This complaint goes back the 1st of June 2013. It's about a misquoted bond cover that Standard bank offered me in April/May 2013. I was quoted R245 but they went on to debit R564.93 without my consent. Upon enquiry I was told that the original quotation was incorrect due to a mistake caused by a trainee that was on duty that day, as if that then gave the right to debit an my account I did not consent to. Temba Gugulethu from standard bank insurance sent me an email on the 11/07/2013, apologizing for the inconvenience caused and promising to fix the problem by refunding my home loan account with R564.93 and ensuring that from then on, the original quote will commence as agreed. It's now almost 3 months later, the problem has not been fixed, I am still paying R564.93. In August I phoned Standard bank insurance to complain, I was given reference no 54969691. The last correspondence I got from Temba Gugulethu was asking me to put a closure on my Hello Peter site complaint before he even attended to my complaint. I am asking for a speedy response via email from Standard bank, I cannot wait indefinitely anymore.
