FNB unhelpful in stopping a payment

I made a payment to a supplier, MCcarthy Toyota Cape for parts supplied, using FNB internet banking. I completed the payment for MCcarthy Toyota Cape whom the FNB internet banking site supplied the account details, as according to the site the company is listed as a public receipient. I then forwarded the proof of payment to MCcarthy Toyota. The informed me that the account details were incorrect and that I should contact my bank. I went straight to FNB Brackenfell and reported the incident. The consultant reluctantly informed me that nothing could be done as it is a public recipient. I have now paid R4500 to MCcarthy which they does not acknowledge?

I feel that I was mislead by the incorrect details on the FNB banking site and that everything possible should be done to retrieve the money.

I moved my business and personal accounts over to FNB and this is the service I am getting?

FNB, PLEASE look into the matter and give me the service I expect and deserve!
