We bought a second hand ldv from a second hand dealer in springs 3 months ago, wich came with a 1000 km or 3 month repair warranty, last week it started loosing power and when we returned it to the dealer they were very quick to point out that it was out of the 3 month period no matter what the km . we excepted the fact although not happy . we stripped the engine over the weakend and found the cylinder head to be cracke in more than one place that was there before we bought the ldv . is there not a clause that protect the buyer for things we cannot see! like the internal parts of the engine, gearbox, and diff? they quick to make you sign for vissable things like glass, seats, jacks and body damage . who is going to carry the cost of the repair!!!? we have a 12 month warranty that we were forced to take to be approved for finance but they say it is the dealer problem and the dealer say it is not!! we have 50 months left to pay on this ldv and cannot afford a repair cost of R 40 k
