I feel like I have been crooked;
I have had the most hands off, no accountability, no explanation service for my claim.
My insurance portfolio is fully with Outsurance, household, out & about even my wedding ring. I have comprehensive cover as well as shortfall for my car (which I paid R41 000 in advance for). My car was in an accident on 10/08/2013 and OUTsurance took the decision to write off, (i) I had no reason given for this, (ii) settlement value was not fully paid yet I had shortfall cover (iii) I am covered comprehensively for retail yet I have been given a trade in salvage calculation settlement, (iv) when I took out my cover this salvage value method taking into account kilometers travelled was never read out to me and now that it is claim time this is what I have been told to deal with. My loss is approximately R100 000 (a portion of which I still need to pay to the bank) and I still do not have a car to drive-I don't understand how OUTsurance works nobody has bothered to give me recordings of my contract where this risk was not disclosed to me, if it were I would have simply not taken on such inadequate insurance.
