Refused to provide basic service

I went into the branch to cash a cheque. There was a slight blemish on the cheque itself from a few drops of water that dropped onto it while I was carrying it in the rain. The teller refused to cash it. I presented my ID Book, my passport and my driver's licence and the contact details of my Personal Banker at RMB whose office I had just left after ordering a new cheque book. I asked that my Personal Banker be contacted to verify my identity, etc.
The teller and her supervisor refused to do this.
I went to the Branch Manager Mr Danny Smith and asked him to contact RMB and obtain clearance on the cheque.
He refused saying that because there had been a drop of water on the cheque he would not accept the cheque regardless of any clearance from RMB.
I proceeded to FNB Rivonia where the teller took my ID, (presumably checked with RMB) and cashed the cheque in about 3 minutes.
FNB need to take action against Mr Danny Smith's refusal to provide any assistance or service to a Customer.
