Spoke to a consultant about my garage card in the call center, first of all the line was so bad and i was not going to phone back and wait for 10 minutes to get a new consultant answer the phone. The consultant was so rude to me about the postal code and street name not matching, but that's not the worst. I actually phoned to ask why I haven't received my new petrol card, which has expired on the 1st of September. I have had this account for the past 10 years with ABSA. The consultant said to me that my FICA status was not right, but just about 2 months ago I took all the papers to have it sorted out. Now he wants me to take off work AGAIN to take the papers. I feel it is very unprofessional and unfair for me to sort it out after i have done MY part! If this is how they attempt to keep their customers happy - then i'm not interested. I will close this account and go to a bank where they actually WANT customers and are willing to assist, and on top of everything still get benefits for buying fuel as well! Well done ABSA - you lost another customer!!!
