I required my account to be closed as I am unable to go into the Branch to pick up the card. I requested for this account to be closed. I received a mail stating the balance on my account and responded on 23/10/13 for the a/c to be closed. To date I have not received a response from Absa until a few minutes ago when I spoke to a consultant Dumiso Shongwane (Action Line). I spoke to another consultant in Card Division who when I asked to speak to a manager then transferred me to Action Line. This was really rude of the consultant in Card Division & I am glad to close this account because this is not the first time I have received poor customer service from Absa. The call was made at 2:52pm. If you locate the recording then you will know what I am talking about. I want this account closed and all fees reversed as I was unaware of the costs. Nobody contacted me. Dumiso has also given me a reference 287798. I want all this charges to be reversed and my account to be closed. That is all I want from Absa but I am only getting attitude from the consultants as if they own Absa. I require a response from Absa.
