Good day,

I am insured via Santam, I had an accident with my vehicle in July 2012 the vehicle was booked in with Carlab Menlyn. I received my vehicle only in September 2012 with the wrong light fitted, battery flat and the cover under the exhaust cable tied. The vehicle was taken back to them to resolve the light issue to make the car roadworthy. I was told that all the outstanding parts were on order and that I will be contacted once the parts are received.

It is now September 2013, approximately 14 months later and I have not received the outstanding parts, however I was informed that Santam paid the entire claim without my consent or approval. Certain items on the quotation are double billed (headlamp which was paid by Santam) however only 1 light was damaged on the vehicle.

I would like this resolved now and investigated, this has also been reported to the Ombudsman.
