I.D date of Issue

Can anyone tell me what's going on this world? I was really shocked and still socked when I left the bank without money, my money because of a stupid I.D that I brought. Can somebody please advise me since when is the date of the I.D so important? I was left stranded because I came with an old I.D (same I.D was used to open up ABS bank account). Investment Advantage (recent ID. was used) this is the same person, same I.D no. just that 2 different dates of Issue. I thought the I.D no. and the face was what was important I was wrong according to Bulelani Mbunjane. In my life I've never heard of this. The guy did not even look at me, he told me to come with the recent I.D or go and apply for a new one. I felt very small. I left there with my tail in-between legs, had to ask for petrol.
