Where is my money

I am a public servant banking with both Absa and Fnb. On 15 January I received my salary from my employer and R8000 from my fnb investment. I transferred R3400 to my son's fnb account from my absa account for his admission fees at an institution of higher learning. He went to the ATM to withdraw the money but the money was not there. He went inside the bank at Makhado-Dzanani branch where he was told that the deposited amount could not be released pending an investigation. The bank never try to contact me or my bank to verify the deposit. My son has now missed the deadline for the payment of the fees and the money is still with Fnb. This has been
the worst service I have ever received from a financial institution. I still do not know where my money is to date. I called the bank to find out what was happening and I spoke to a lady called Peace who informed me that the transaction has been tagged as ' pledge' by a person called Marcia. She tried to get hold of the Marcia person at the call centre and I had a R90 airtime on my phone.By the time I finished holding I was left with R2 and she never managed to get hold of the Marcia person and my son is still without the money.
