I have had an intermittent problem when transferring money between my Standard Bank accounts where amounts that are supposed to reflect the next business day sit in limbo until I phone and get them released. When I phoned a few months ago I was to, d that the problem would be addressed urgently but it has re-occurred and seems to be a problem simply accepted. It means phoning the call centre which can take up to 15 minutes going through the security rigmarole and then waiting while the call centre operator manually transfers the funds. The operators also appear to have no clue as to how to deal with the issue so it requires a team leader to be called to fix the issue. This took me some 30 minutes today including waiting 15 minutes for the call centre!

Why has Standard Bank not taken steps to address and to norm their customers of he problem? I have had a MasterCard with Std bank for 20 years but will cancel if the issue re-occurs.
