I have a loan with Standard Bank which I have had for a few years. I noticed that this month my personal cheque account had not been debited despite having available funds in my account. I called the call centre and the two people I spoke to said that I would have to go into a standard bank branch and make the payment manually. Why should I have to be inconvenienced at my own expense when this is not my fault. I refuse to be inconvenienced and this is certainly not the first problem I have had with standard bank. I have never been so angry before, fix this or I will take this further. This is one reason I took my personal account over to another bank.
