I have (soon to be HAD) insurance with MiWay with a no excess option selected (and therefore an extra premium). Someone reversed into my car (THEREFORE NOT MY FAULT OR NEGLIGENCE!!!) and I have had to put in a claim. MY FIRST VEHICLE CLAIM IN PROBABLY 20 YEARS. Immediately the day after the claim I get a letter to state that now I either have to add an excess of R3300, 00 to my policy or have my premium increased dramatically. THAT IS SHOCKING AND UNACCEPTABLE. Why then have insurance? At least Outsurance are prepared to match my existing premium with no excess. So guess I will be cancelling my insurance with MiWay! I just cant believe this. And they advertise that they are the best. WHAT A OF...
