Standard Bank
Case Closed???

I applied for a home loan over 2 weeks ago, last week I had to follow up because no one at standard bank seems to bother to call, only to find out that they can't pick up all my documents which were submitted together with my application, I had to then resend the documents.
This week my wife decides to call and to her amazement the clerk advises her that the case had been closed!!!
Because they could not verify employment, for sake the employer was clicks (a huge corporate company), but some call center agent could not get through to them, what kind of joke is that? It's like not being able to get hold of standard bank. Be that admit may, I called in today after receiving the bad news and not one agent was even bothered in assisting, I asked for the manager and after being put on hold for 5 min they advise that the manager is busy and he will call me tomorrow.
I cannot believe the gross incompetence displayed by standard bank staff.
I was not even advised that there was a problem with processing the loan, infact I didn't hear from standard bank period.
I would never recommend standard bank and I am definitely going to consider changing over to another bank.
