FNB Merchant Services? Think twice

Wanting to make use of FNB's Merchant Services for my online store, I contacted them & began the uphill battle of applying for a merchant code.

Initial interaction very frustrating, but subsequent circus at Merchant Services begs belief.
Application approved in writing a month ago & patiently waited for FNB to vet my website. Received a further SMS this week that application had been approved. Contacted call centre as I had not heard anything from anyone at Merchant Services. Getting answers from the call centre is a dead end. People actually handling the application hide behind the call centre & do not answer my calls, return messages or respond to E-mails. Eventually got a hold of Elmarie (the MS manager) who would sort it out. Shortly thereafter receive an E-mailed letter that application has been declined, no reason given for what criteria not met & the letter is un-named & unsigned.

Since been a 3 day nightmare as I attempt to establish what the reason is for suddenly declining my application.
Many hours and hundreds of rands airtime spent trying to get to the bottom of what is a complete service failure from FNB MS.
