A friend asked me to deposit some money for them, so Tuesday at around 9.45am I went to the nearest Std Bnk branch and wow was I disappointed. No counter had any deposit slips, I found some BEHIND the desk at the front entrance (not a likely place for anyone to look), and I wasn't the only one looking. Then the dirty counters to write on, old slips left behind, only two pens between several counters and a queue of around 12 people and 3 at the counter, so this would take about 25 minutes for me to get to a counter, with no where to sit in sight and no disabled sign for anyone like me, this would not work. If I stand for 25 I'd have to go home for the day and I had a whole days work ahead of me, prompty I left and told the woman at the entrance that this was most pathetic, she just looked as if she was used to these comments from people. Later I thought but there were just as many Enquiry counters and this was full. Does this show the banks inability to service anyone, just like me? Big queues do not equate to many customers, it equates to inefficient systems. No don't call me, just fix this sad state of affairs, and in the meantime Im looking for a bank to deposit these funds.
