I have received a small amount of foreign currency that is not being credited to my account. I have provided necessary documention, spoken with a consultant, but nothing has been done. Trying to reach the call centre requires at least 20 minutes of holding; with the usual message "your call is important to us". It certainly is not. I have made contact at least three times, but no result.

Generally ABSA's service has gone downhill, no one ever calls you, unless you are overdrawn - then you will be harrassed continually. I will be closing my account just as soon as I can sort these issues out. Have been with ABSA for more than 25 years, but they truly do not know the meaning of the word "Service". My husband has just closed his accounts there and did not get so much as a phone call to find out why. Pathetic.
