Unable to block unlawful debits

I've been with Standard Bank since 2004 when i opened a student account. Around 2010 or 2011 i noticed that there were debits that were going through my account that i didn't know, i called the call center and they reversed the money but could't block the debits so i ended up having to call them every month to reverse these debits. I then changed the account in 2012 to a Cheque account. When i was checking my statement yersteday i realised that the same people are debit my money again from May, i went to the bank today and they said they can only reverse upto 40 days, anthing later then that they can't which meant i lost R200. i haven't been receiving notifications on my account since last year, i have been reporting to the bank and they told me that they were aware of it and they working on fixing it. so now my problem is how do i get unknown debits to my accounts over and over!! it seems like Standard Bank is not protecting my information or is the internet or cellphone banking not safe?
