When i got back from holiday on the 4th of August my geyser burst. My whole house was under water. I phoned a plumber to come and install a geyser that same day because i have 2 small children. I reported the insadent to ABSA on the 5th of August and said that there was resulting damages. The plumbers came to inspect the geyser on the 13th of August. I received an sms on the 15th of August saying that the plumbing portion of claim no 2426777 has been finalised. Then on Friday the 16th of August i phoned and asked if i can let the contractor go ahead and fix the resulting damages. First i was told i can let them fix it and then i told her that the costs is going to be very high. I said to here i can forward the quotation to her and she can send it through to here contractors to compare the prices. She then told me that she would come back to me on Friday to tell me if they can go ahead with the repairs. This morning i had to phone again and then i was told that there was no geyser installed and that the plumbers would have to come and do an inspection again. I still don't know if the resulting damages could be fixed or not because she could not give me an answer. shell get back.
