Top up debt protect deductions - how did this happ

I am complaining about FNB's services. To start I see I have a debt protect top up on my credit card, firstly I don't remember agreeing to this, as I don't normally agree at first, I always ask for the paperwork and then after reading through would give my confirmation.
Okay so I would like to cancel it now (as its deducting money already), which they have aleady cost me almost R500. I call FNB credit card customer care (using FNB app), get put through to the wrong dept after waiting several minutes, re-explain my reason for calling and then get told, I need to now write a letter to motivate why I want it to be cancelled (which firstly I never agreed upon) and then I was told to call 2 other numbers of which are not available via the app (very convenient??) and asked why 2 numbers, was told 1 is to cancel, the other to find out why I have the top up debt protect as a service??? Okay so then I call number no1 and it's a fax machine - awesome!!! And then proceed to call number no2 and it's just an engaged tone?? Really frustrating!! This is taking time out of my day, to call around bogus numbers, getting nothing solved so you can take more of my money than you actually have
