Declining a cellphone contract

Well, I have a HUGE problem with Bayport cellular... I was called just over a week ago by them offering me a cellphone contract, I received four calls from four different people, the last one told me that they were going to confirm my employment by means of a call to my employer, I actually received an sms message stating just that. Today I called them to find out whats happening as I have not heard from them again and no employment confirmation was done on my employment. Firstly the person tells me that it has been declined because my employer could not be found on Google...! Since when is Google part of the credit act or part of any contract...?? I then get told that sorry we cannot help you, please apply somewhere else. Brilliant customer service!!! I then refused to accept the reason and asked to speak to someone who could explain their criteria to me, I get to the finance department and I get told that they couldn't find my employer in three different places on google, so sorry... Well, while having the person on the line I google my employer and find it in ELEVEN places on the first page. I tell her this and she transfers me to Sales again... I again have to explain
