Settlement of account

Hi, i am very sad to write this report because i am doing all my vehicle fiance through absa last month they didnt deduct my vehicle so this month i decide to paid up my account i requested a settlement letter it was send to me so i paid up my account with the full amount of R4400 so my account is closed yesterday i got a call from the bank they told me i still owe them 1 month installment how can this be if i requested and settlement letter and i paid the full amount on there.
