First National Bank
32 days notice

Business & Finance

My daughter had a savings account with FNB, she also have 32 days notice account, on June 2013 we went to the bank in Standerton and serve notice for 32 days for R5000 for her to use when University open, she is studying at TUT Pretoria. the money was supposed to be available on the 23 July 2013. she never got any notification that her money was in the account. we went to the bank to enquire and they told us her savings account is closed because the account is not active. then when we enquire about the R5000 that she was supposed to receive on the 23 July they told us that the money went bank to the 32 days account because the savings account was closed and she has to open another savings account and server another 32 days notice again, the money will be available on the 2nd of September. we want the money urgently, she has to use the money for his school accomodation and food. why do we have to serve another notice again for the money that we have served 32 days notice already? i find this unprofessional and unacceptable. why didn't they inform us before they close her savings account?
