No feedback on insurance claim

Having recently taken occupation in a house that my wife and I bought (May 2012), as the rainy season started, we discovered a leak on the flat part of our roof that made itself evident during heavy rain. Ooba was contacted on the 31st of January and a claim was logged (ref 751027). An assessor contacted me and set an appointment for the morning of the 3rd. The assessor never pitched on this day. He only arrived on the 4th.
I was later informed that my claim had been rejected because of a lack of maintenance. The roofing specialist that accompanied the assessor pointed out attempts to repair the roof by the previous owner, the assessor made mention of improper repair jobs done by the previous owner and that our bank should never have accepted the condition of the roof to grant the loan. Upon questioning the time period of which said maintenance is meant to take place, nothing. As an insurance company that is only 6 months into a potential 30 year relationship, it's appalling that no feedback can be given when 4 separate attempts to contact them are unreplied
