Wrong info was given

I had a loan with Circle finance and paid it up in December 2012.I received a call today from one of their agents who informed me that I`m still with an amount outstanding of R1200.00 as the person that called me that time never explained anything to me but simple THEY APOLOGISE for the mistake. Clearly is this not my mistake as I know from my side is this loan paid up and I dnt owe them cent. Just worried that this will reflect on my record
