How is it allowed that FNB can take funds out of my cheque account to pay for my credit card without my permission??
I have had no other choice than to complain here, as sending them a message from their website doesn't work, calling them doesn't work and even complaining on their Facebook page doesn't work.
When I opened up my credit card, I got an SMS stating that if I made a purchase of R1 or more before 31 July 2013 the initiation fee would be wavered. When I received my statement at the end of June the fee was still there. I was then EVENTUALLY told that the fee would be deducted by 28 July. So by principal, I did not make a payment into my credit card because of their fault! Now I see that R260 was taken from my cheque account to pay for my credit card?!?!!? I did NOT give permission for this! That is MY money, you may not just do what you please with it. I am now on the verge of closing both my cheque account and credit card with them! I expect these funds to be returned to my cheque account immediately and I will personally pay my credit card at the end of July when I see that the initiation fee has been wavered.
