I was involved in a motorcycle accident on 4/07/2013. I immediately contacted my insurer (Santam) and they arranged a pickup of the vehicle promptly. The tow service contacted me multiple times and was there prior to the committed time. They also sent me an SMS confirming the delivery of the vehicle to a Santam Assessment Center. The service from the call center was excellent as they kept tabs on the process and informed me of everything necessary.
The next day I received another call asking me where my vehicle was? This was confirmed by an email stating that I needed to supply them with pictures, etc. for assessment.
I forwarded all the information I had to Santam and they "found" the motorcycle on the Tuesday upon which it was moved to a dealer for inspection. I went to the dealer on the same day and they were already busy with the inspection.
It is now nearly two weeks since the accident and I still have no further movement from Santam. My progress queries (from a week ago) either have the same comment "Claim is in line for assessment" or no response.
This is not the service I expected when I moved all my insurance to Santam.
