Ripping people off

I took a loan for R52000 and I've been paying 2664 monthly for the past 5 months. I asked for a settlement and was told my settlement is R51000!!! where has all the money that I've been paying gone to??? i have heard of people being ripped off but this is madness. R13320 gone down the drain??? the ombudsman will hear about this!
